"Most importantly. remember why we are doing CIP. The heart, mind and hand aspects of a person's involvement in a community project are obvious in the proposal stage of community work. The efforts taken to pick a beneficiary or a cause that one feels passionate and deeply cares about determine the level of satisfaction and fulfillment at the end of the project. We hope all students will be involved from the very beginning in identifying correctly and accurately the needs of the beneficiaries and organization. In the level of engagement, quality of interaction, consideration, attentiveness and thoughtfulness you give the needs of your beneficiaries lies the learning points you will pick up such as research and communication skills as well as commitment.
With this programme, we hope we will Broaden Minds (Diversifying Experiences) Touch Hearts (Meaningful Connections) Enrich Lives (Fulfilling Aspirations)
And that CIP will be viewed differently by you from all other types of projects in your life because of the meaningful difference that your commitment and effort can make to the world."
- Words of Wisdom from Ms Cheah Lee Huang, Dy HOD/IP
We will be carrying out the 3 CIP projects, and we will also have a one-day overseas CIP experience. It will be in a small village in Tanjong Balai, Indonesia on 8 March 2010.
There will be TA CIP Project Presentation Day on Friday, 12 March at the scope, so just remember to be prepared for it :D
Last but not least, I hope you guys will have a fun and enriching time planning and carrying out the CIP:D
